UT Extension is currently accepting applications for three positions in the Center for Profitable Agriculture based in Columbia, Tennessee.

Business Manager

The Business Manager will assist the Center Director in the management and administration of office operations, human resources, data management, financial and budget responsibilities.  The position serves as the primary office manager responsible for administrative duties, serves as the Center’s liaison with other administrative positions within UTIA and is the Center’s primary contact for all financial and accounting activities.

Extension Specialist, Value-Added Agriculture Marketing

The Center for Profitable Agriculture is a center within UT Extension and a partnership with the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation. The Center staff work to help farmers analyze and develop value-added agriculture enterprises across the state. The Extension Specialist – Value-Added Agriculture Marketing provides leadership for planning, implementing and evaluating statewide educational programs in value-added agriculture marketing. The Extension Specialist – Value-Added Agriculture Marketing is a full-time, non-tenure track, 100% Extension position. Success in this position necessitates a high level of individual initiative and in-person collaboration, teaching and consultation prompting overnight travel and work beyond the normal work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Extension Specialist, Value-Added Agriculture Financial Analysis

The Center for Profitable Agriculture is a center within UT Extension and a partnership with the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation. The Center staff work to help farmers analyze and develop value-added agriculture enterprises across the state. The Extension Specialist – Value-Added Agriculture Financial Analysis provides leadership for planning, implementing and evaluating statewide educational programs in value-added agriculture financial analysis and business development. The Extension Specialist – Value-Added Agriculture Financial Analysis is a full-time, non-tenure track, 100% Extension position. Success in this position necessitates a high level of individual initiative and in-person collaboration, teaching and consultation prompting overnight travel and work beyond the normal work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
